Mission Accomplished?
Three years ago today, President George W. Bush did a grand speech onboard aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, declaring victory in Iraq. There was a big banner with the statement “Mission Accomplished,” and most Americans believed that our mission in Iraq was indeed over.
What a difference three years makes.
