Why Mexico will become the #1 spot for college spring breaks….
According to an A.P. report on Friday, April 28:
Mexico’s Congress approved a bill Friday decriminalizing possession of small quantities of drugs for personal use — including cocaine and even heroin — raising potential questions about joint U.S.-Mexican anti-narcotics operations.
The only step remaining was the signature of President Vicente Fox, whose office indicated he would sign [...]

Cato Institute on Bush
The Cato Institute isn’t exactly known for advocating “liberal” viewpoints. In fact, it’s considered one of the most conservative thinktanks in America. Here’s an excerpt from a recent report by Gene Healy, senior editor and author of “Arrogance of Power Reborn: The Imperial Presidency and Foreign Policy in the Clinton Years“:
Unfortunately, far from [...]

Just How Would a Patriot Act, anyways?
I think of this blog as a good recycling tool. Sometimes, I may get inspired and actually compose some original words here and there, but for the most part I’m merely bringing some extra attention to what I believe is the “good stuff.”
In life, sometimes the simple things are the ones that work [...]

Why not a 100-mpg hybrid- RIGHT NOW?
On Saturday, I went to the first annual MAKER Faire in San Mateo, CA, sponsored by MAKE magazine. I love the magazine with the slogan “technology on your time,” and this two day festival was a great celebration of the magazine’s DIY ethic. At this fest, I saw some very cool [...]

Is Bush impotent? Could that explain Iraq?
Here’s an interesting theory from Sugarbank.com
I recently discovered (via Metafilter I think – I can’t remember) an ancient thread at Something Awful which is a mine of the kind of possibly-true information that makes the web worthwhile. Supposedly posted by a Whitehouse insider (who appears to be in the Secret Service) it’s a list of [...]

NEW Neil Young song- “Impeach the President”
Here’s some excellent news from Howie Klein’s DownWithTyranny blog:
Just after debuting his new film at SxSW Neil shocked the music world by announcing, kind of off-the-cuff, that he had recorded a brand new album and that it’s all ready to go. (The guy introducing him, SxSW director Roland Swenson, had referred to how important Neil’s [...]
