My hat is off to all the Democrats that fought the good fight to restore accountability to the government of the United States of America. We have regained the House of Representatives, and it looks like we may actually have the Senate as well if all goes well in Virginia and Montana.

I fully support Representative Nancy Pelosi in her new role as the Speaker of the House, who now becomes the third most powerful person in the executive branch. As she publicly stated, there shall be big priorities in Congress as the Democrats take power. Here’s an example of what we can expect within the next 100 days:

  • Real Security - reclaim American leadership with a coherent policy to protect this country, starting off by implementing all recommendations suggested by the bi-partisan 9/11 Commission.
  • Energy Independence - freedom from dependence on imported oil, creating initiatives for energy-efficient technologies and the development of domestic alternatives such as biofuels.
  • Affordable Health Care - the citizens of richest country on the planet deserve to have have affordable health care for all.
