I love my Mac. I’ve been using the Mac OS for many years, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Apple continues to create the best hardware and software, leading the way for other computer manufacturers to follow. I don’t want to waste too much time reading tech manuals. I just want to get things done, and the Mac universe is one I’m happy to inhabit.

That being said, I have my issues with the Apple iPhone. As it turns out, so does the Free Software Foundation.

No to iPhone

What I find very intriguing is a new alternative phone called the Neo FreeRunner. It’s a free-software phone, being developed in cooperation with the same worldwide community responsible for the GNU/Linux operating system. There’s not a lot of software available yet, and it’s hard to find a place where you can buy the phone, but it’s got a lot of potential.

Could this be the phone we wanted the iPhone to be? Stay tuned….
